I removed the golden rod, reduced the number of mums, removed one stalk of the purple flowers and added one more fern leaf. Thank you so much for your critique. 

Hello...Here is my revised "Contrast 2" arrangement...I removed leaves on the nine-bark branches to create more visible lines...removed the right most branch to open the space...removed one iris and repositioned the remaining iris to fill their space better.
