Requirements for Hana Ajari

  1. Complete Ikebana Aesthetic Program Levels 1–3 (1-year program).
  2. Participate in the Monthly Ikebana Challenge at least 4 times per year during the 1,000-day period (minimum 12 sessions). After each session, rework has to be submitted.   
  3. Complete 1,000 works in 1,000 days (approximately 28 per month for 36 months).
  4. Read selected texts on ikebana and Japanese aesthetics (see below).
  5.  Submit a reflective essay upon completion (up to 800 words, see below).
